SECTION III. DIRECT SUPPORT TROUBLESHOOTING
GENERAL. This section contains troubleshooting information for locating and correcting most of the operating
troubles which may develop in the editorial unit of the special warfare printing plant. Each malfunction for an individual
component, unit, or system is followed by a list of tests or inspections which will help you to determine corrective actions
to take. You should perform the tests/inspections and corrective actions in the order listed. This manual cannot list all
malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If a malfunction is not listed or is not
corrected by listed corrective actions in this manual, then refer to commercial manual. If at this point you cannot correct
the malfunction, notify your supervisor.
DIRECT SUPPORT TROUBLESHOOTING. Refer to table 5-1 for troubleshooting information and procedures
applicable to the editorial shelter system and components.

TEST OR INSPECTION
NO ELECTRICAL POWER TO SHELTER SYSTEM.
Step 1. Check generator.
Start the generator set in accordance with the applicable Department of the Army Technical Manual.
Step 2. Check circuit breakers.
Position applicable circuit breakers to ON.
Step 3. Check that main power cable is correctly connected at main power receptacle.
DEATH or serious injury could result if electrical precautions are not taken when maintaining this
equipment. Be sure that power cables are unplugged or disconnected, that circuit breakers are
set to OFF and that generator cables are unplugged/disconnected. Be sure the equipment is
properly grounded. Always have another person standing by who is familiar with electrical shock
